    Position Overview

    This  new role is designed to improve the efficiency of the validation and test process. The  primary function is to provide simulator set up and support.  This position will also focus on routine management of electronics hardware in the lab and electronics hardware testing.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Establish lab usage policy and procedure … safety, equipment maintenance, equipment allocation and management and etc.
    • Administrate Lab
      • Equipment calibration
      • Material / Supply Procurement
      • Test equipment maintenance
      • Lab Assess Management
    • Coordinate lab test requests
    • Perform certain electronics testing and measurement tasks, light electronics assembly
    • Manage and assign lab space for projects
    • Maintain and manage the lab infrastructure
    • Parts Tracking and Inventory
      • Follow Sim policies and procedures to keep track of parts used
      • Maintain a neat and organized lab environment
      • Identify when on hand spares are low and alert  functional management
    • Electrical technical skills/understanding
    • Ability to read/understand schematics
    • Off hours availability to support critical tasks

     

    Qualifications

    Required Skills/Certification

    • Associate Degree in Electritcal Engineering Technolgy or Electrical Engineering or 5 years experience in a technical environment
    • Electrical troubleshooting skills
    • Basic circuit design/ability to read schematics
    • Basic computer knowledge and skills, organizational skill to manage the lab
    • The primary hours of this position are 8 AM to 5 PM, but it may be necessary at times to support evenings and weekends.  These situations will be planned ahead of time as much as possible.  Flexible hours are available if agreed upon functional management.
    • The technician engineer shall be available by phone and remote access for after hours support as required.
    • Customer service/support experience

    • Linux/UNIX shell programming
    • System Integration
    • Experience in test environemnt
    • Expereince in manufacturing test
    • Hands on experience with wiring, harnessing and soldering
