Position Overview

The Network Operations Center Engineer Level 2 provides front-line support for technical customer incidents.  Technical issues are escalated to the NOC Engineer Level 2 by the MCPc Operations Support Center via the MCPc Incident Tracking system.

 

 This position will have “on call” after hours/weekend/holiday responsibilities as assigned by the NOC Manager.

    • Windows Desktop O/s – Win 7, 8, 10
    • Office 365 – Installation, Administration, Configuration
    • SharePoint – Administration, Configuration
    • Active Directory – Administration, Structure, GPO.
    • Microsoft Office Products – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • General IT principles:

The person will troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. The shift is M-F 11am -7pm

Qualifications

Technical knowledge:

  1. Good understanding of IT infrastructure – Servers, Network devices, Storage
  2. Familiarity with system administration activities – Windows, Unix, Active Directory, DNS etc.

Education:

One or more of the following

Associate/BS degree in Computer/Technology field or equivalent work experience in related field

Associated technical certs CCNA, CCENT, MCSE, VMware, Citrix desired but not required
