Position Overview

We are looking for a qualified IT Technician to install, analyze and maintain computer systems and associated networks. As an IT technician you must be well-versed in computer operating systems, network functions, desktop software and hardware. The ideal candidate will be a self- starter with strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end users with consistent quality of customer service and support for computer hardware, software, telephones and various mobile platforms (iOS & Android)
  • Provide first and second level support on various Infrastructure related issues and follow-up with end user community and Infrastructure Team as needed.
  • Provide direction for end users in all IT systems using best practices in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Keep documentation of changes and fixes for future reference.
  • Evaluate new hardware and software; recommend changes as appropriate to improve processes throughout the company.
  • Install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks, network cabling , printers and other related equipment and systems within a retail environment.
  • Administer equipment, hardware and software upgrades

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

  • Understands IT principles and has ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to  all levels of the organization and with end-users
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is proactive
  • The ability and desire to quickly learn new skills and technologies
  • Strong technical skill with desktop, laptop, tablet PC’s
  • Must be willing to keep up to date in technology and best practices through continuous learning
  • Dependable, intelligent, ethical and honest
  • Knowledge of DOS Scripting, Shell scripting , Visual Basic and/or Python a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Must be resident of North East Ohio

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday (40+ hours per week)
  • Additional hours and days (week-ends, holidays) as required
  • Must have the ability to travel to stores for support duties
  • Participate in after hour and weekend  on-call rotation

Qualifications and Education

  • Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the IT applications field preferred
